Looks like Mel Gibson got bit with the acting bug again since being absent in a leading role since Signs. And his first effort back will be Taken 2. No wait, its Edge of Darkness.
ScreenJunkies calls it:
Mel Gibson stars as a Boston detective searching for answers in the murder of his daughter. Was she killed in an attempt on his life or does the reason behind her assassination go much deeper? Mel intends to find out by smashing every window, door, and face in Suffolk County.
Sounds a little bit too much like Taken, but I loved that movie so I would give this a shot. And this seems to have a little Consipiracy Theory in it too.

Joss Whedon has decided to put an end to the upcoming bidding war for the Terminator Franchise and issued an open letter to Halycon!
Whedonesque shares:
Dear Sirs/Ma’ams,
I am Joss Whedon, the mastermind behind Titan A.E., Parenthood (not the movie) (or the new series) (or the one where ‘hood’ was capitalized ’cause it was a pun), and myriad other legendary tales. I have heard through the ‘grapevine’ that the Terminator franchise is for sale, and I am prepared to make a pre-emptive bid RIGHT NOW to wrap this dealio up. This is not a joke, this is not a scam, this is not available on TV. I will write a check... |

Ghost Rider is the spirit of Vengence, so when the first film was so terrible it only makes karmic sense that they make a sequel to make up for past wrongs. Someone has to pay. And part of that payment might come from David Goyer who is in talks to put pen to a sequel.
Dark Horizons says:
David Goyer is in early talks to create a story and supervise a script for a sequel to “Ghost Rider” for Sony Pictures
Plans are under way to base the sequel on a script written years ago by “Blade” and “Batman Begins” writer Goyer. There is no word on whether Goyer himself will direct.
I was never a Ghost Rider fan. I ... |

I really liked the first Crow movie but I was quickly bored with the subsequent sequels beating a dead horse. So I was less than curious about the proposed Crow remake by Stephen Norrington.
That is until I heard it won’t be at all like the original, and will have its own take on the legend.
Geek Tyrant shares:
We then learned that it wouldn’t be a remake of Proyas’ 1994 gothic stylized take on the story, and that Norrington planned to create a new character and story for the film. He also has said the new movie will be more realistic, hard-edged and mysterious, almost documentary-style. He hopes to bring the franchise a sharpened ... |

In a world where we are planning a movie based on Viewmaster are we really surprised that they are adapting a single panel syndicated newspaper comic strip into a full length feature film?
Well Owen Wilson has signed on to give voice to the classic mischievious great dane Marmaduke.
Dark Horizons says:
Tim Rasmussen and Vince Di Meglio’s script has Marmaduke navigating a volatile Mutts vs. Pedigrees turf war, wooing the purebred of his dreams and overcoming a fall from grace.
Judy Greer, Lee Pace and William H. Macy play the humans. Wilson joins Fergie, Emma Stone, George Lopez, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Steve Coogan, Damon Wayans, Marl... |
