Looks like we will get another Country Music Drama in the vein of The Thing Called Love, this time with a country star trying to get back in the limelight. The film is set to star Gwyneth Paltrow, Tim McGraw, Leighton Meester and Garrett Hedlund and is called Love Don’t Let Me Down
Dark Horizons says:
In “Love,” Hedlund plays a young rising singer-songwriter who becomes involved with a fallen country singer played by Paltrow.
They embark on a career resurrection tour with her husband-manager (McGraw) and a beauty queen-turned-singer (Meester).
Romantic entanglements and old demons threaten to derail them all.

Jay Baruchel stars in She’s out of my league. You may remember him from Knocked up, Tropic thunder, fanboys etc. I actually think he’s kind of a funny dude.
Collider.com gives us the 411:
The premise is Baruchel plays an average Joe with not much going for him when out of the blue a successful and gorgeous woman falls for him. He’s stunned. So are his friends. The question then becomes how does he keep the girl. While the story about a guy not good enough for a girl or vice versa has been done many times, I laughed watching the trailer and am rooting for the film to be a success.

Thought this was a great interview by Jon Stewart. Lucas basically says “It’s a movie, get over it, it’s fiction.” Stewart’s reactions are hilarious.
“My son’s favorite movie is the Phantom Menace” And I have explained to him “No it’s not!”

Avatar will hit Top Worldwide – Just not this past Weekend

So very close!! The Boxoffice take for the weekend is in and Avatar still isn’t the #1 Worldwide seat filler of all time.
Avatar has far exceeded the boxoffice results that I had anticipated. All along I thought the movie was going to be as ground breaking as the rumours implied, but I honestly didn’t see it killing at the boxoffice this much.
And the excuse that it doesn’t deserve it considering the rise in prices, and the additional income brought on by the premium you pay to see it in 3D? I don’t think that takes anything at all away from the achievement.

While it was already speculated and rumoured that Sir Anthony Hopkins would take on the role as the Mighty King of Asgard and father of Thor, it is now confirmed.

Lots of rumors that Anthony Hopkins was getting ready to star in the upcoming THOR movie and now there is no need for speculation. Variety has just confirmed that indeed Anthony Hopkins will play the Father of Thor and the King of Asgard… ODIN.
I like the casting. I really liked Hopkins in The Mask of Zorro, as he illustrated just how he could be passionate, soft father figure and agressive all in one character. All things I suspect Odin will be.
